Medlin Software is designed only for use with desktop/laptop Windows operating systems.

•Medlin Software is not designed or supported for use with any other operating system, such as Mac or Linux.

•While you may still be able to install and use Medlin on versions of Windows no longer supported by Microsoft, we cannot recommend doing so.

•Outdated versions of Windows cannot be considered secure enough to use with payroll data, nor accounting data.

•We do not test our software with outdated versions of Windows.

•If you are preparing payroll for others, or in any other way, deal with the IRS (other than as a single employer) you may be subject to IRS data security regulations which require all software to be kept current (including Windows), drive encryption, etc.

Windows 11

•Medlin Software works with Windows 11.

Windows 10 (32 and 64bit)

•Medlin Software works with Windows 10.

•Microsoft will support Windows 10 until (at least) October of 2025.

•We will attempt to keep Medlin Software compatible with Windows 10 until at least our 2030 version.

Windows 8.1

•Microsoft ended consumer support for Windows 8.1 in January of 2023.

•We will attempt to keep Medlin Software compatible with Windows 8.1 until at least our 2028 version.

Windows 7

•Microsoft ended consumer support for Windows 7 January 14 of 2020.

•We will attempt to keep Medlin Software compatible with Windows 7 until at least our 2025 version.

Windows Vista

•Microsoft ended all support for Windows Vista in April of 2017.

•Will not install or run Medlin Software beginning with our 2023 version.

Windows XP

•Microsoft ended all support for Windows XP in April of 2014.

•Will not install or run Medlin Software beginning with our 2023 version.

Windows 2000, ME, 98, 95

•Will not install or run Medlin Software.

ARM based machines

•Will not install or run Medlin Software.

Windows Server (any version)

•Medlin Software is not designed, tested, or supported for use with any version of Windows Server.
